Enrolment Process
We are delighted that you are considering The Scots School Albury for your child’s education. We accept applications for new students across all year levels, with our main intakes at Kindergarten, Year 5, Year 7 and Year 9. As we keep our class sizes small, enrolment applications are placed on our waitlist and progressed subject to vacancy. While we welcome your enrolment application, we cannot guarantee all applicants will progress to an interview or offer of place.
Step 1: Discover the Difference
You are invited to explore The Scots School Albury through our website or by joining us for a tour of the Campus. We know that Scots is a school best experienced in person and we look forward to welcoming you at one of our small group tours, or at our annual Open Day. These are opportunities for you to see the school in action and learn more about the unique and broad opportunities we offer students. Families are encouraged to assess how the school’s values and philosophies align with their own.
Step 2: Complete an Application for Enrolment
Before or after the tour, families are welcome to complete an Online Application for Enrolment and submit with the Enrolment Application Fee (please note that the Enrolment Application Fee is non-refundable). All applications once processed, are assigned a waitlist status for their requested year of entry according to our Enrolment Criteria (outlined below). We are happy to accept your Application for Enrolment at any time; however, we encourage you to register an application well in advance of the admission year due to the strong demand for places at Scots.
Step 3: Admissions Interview
Children on the waitlist, and who have completed all documentation, are invited for an Admissions Interview in the year prior to entry. Interviews are conducted with prospective students and families by the relevant Heads of School. Please note that the interview process takes place according to sibling priority and waitlist order and can take several months to complete for intake years. Following the Admissions Interview and at the advice of the Principal or Heads of School, a formal Letter of Offer may be provided.
Step 4: Confirmation of Place
Once a Letter of Offer has been received, families can accept the offer with payment of a non-refundable Enrolment Fee by the due date outlined on the Letter of Offer. The School will provide written Confirmation of Place once any relevant documentation and the Enrolment Fee has been provided.
Step 5: Welcome and Orientation
Whether your child's enrolment is from the beginning of Term 1, or part way through the School year, the Scots pastoral care program and experienced staff will provide a smooth transition for your child. For our main intake year levels of Kindergarten and Year 7, confirmed students are invited to attend a series of Transition Days in the year prior to entry.
Enrolment Criteria
The Scots School Albury is an open entry, non-selective school and students are placed on a waitlist according to the date upon which Scots receives the Application for Enrolment. At the discretion of the School, the priority of admission is as follows:
- Siblings of enrolled students
- Boarding School applicants

- Children or grandchildren of Scots Alumni
- Returning students who were offered priority at the time of departure
- The awarding of Scholarships or Bursaries
